The second annual California Bike Week rally took place at the Pomona Fairplex in Southern California, and once again also served as the destination for the 25th anniversary running of the Love Ride, the world’s largest one-day motorcycle fundraiser.
This was the final event for the Vance & Hines Show Truck for 2008, but it’s also the event that gives back the most. Founded by Glendale Harley-Davidson, the Love Ride raises money and awareness for several worthy causes, including the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
In addition to the Love Ride, California Bike Week provides an entire weekend’s worth of entertainment for motorcyclists including Harley-Davidson demo rides, aftermarket vendors, flattrack racing, stunt shows and live concerts.
Of the thousands of motorcyclists that poured into the Fairplex over the weekend, many were on new 2009 Harley-Davidson Touring models. And to meet the demands of these new bike owners, Vance & Hines has released its Monster Oval slip-on mufflers for 2009 model year Touring bikes. Monster Ovals are the premium muffler for Touring bikes with features like full coverage heat shields, machined billet endcaps and a deep rich sound that has no comparison.
Each year the Vance & Hines Show Truck plays an important role for the company by giving motorcyclists around the country an opportunity to see and hear Vance & Hines product on bikes first hand, but it also serves as a great way to gather feedBack from customers on how the product can be improved for the future. It’s a valuable program that will continue to grow in the coming year.
