VANCE & HINES MYRTLE BEACH BIKE WEEK

05/19/08 SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA

Back to the east coast for the second time this year, The Vance & Hines Show Truck made its way to the sunny shores of South Carolina for Myrtle Beach Bike Week. And without a doubt, the spot that continues to draw the biggest crowds is Broadway at the Beach, which is where the Vance & Hines Show Truck kicked up its awning for rally goers to check out its latest products in exhaust and fuel management systems as well as brand new high flow air cleaner kits.

Despite economic concerns as well as gas prices, there was certainly no sign of any drop in enthusiasm from the hundreds of thousands of people that gathered to celebrate their shared passion for the two-wheeled culture. And the proof of that perhaps lied most in their willingness to open their pocketbooks to customize and enhance their machines.

Across the lot at Broadway, dozens of vendors setup to do installs for everything from wheels to windscreens. And while the Vance & Hines Show Truck primarily serves to promote and educate consumers about the Vance & Hines’ line of performance products, it’s a great opportunity for a local dealer to capitalize on a captive audience eager to get a new set of pipes to customize the look and performance of their motorcycle.

For the second year in a row, a local Drag Specialties dealer stepped in to meet that demand with its own installation center next to the Vance & Hines Show Truck. With three lifts going strong, dozens of motorcyclists rode away smiling each day with a hot new look and sound to their bike.

And for the first time at a rally, customers were able to get their hands on an exhaust system from the Vance & Hines Black Line, featuring ceramic black heat shields and Vance & Hines signature chrome end treatment. Quickly selling out at the event, they’re the perfect complement to any one of the models in Harley-Davidson’s Dark Custom line-up.

Now it’s back to the west coast to get ready for a trek up the San Bernardino mountains for the 6th annual Big Bear Choppers Ride the Mountain rally at the Snow Summit Ski Resort in Big Bear Lake, California. With the steady growth of the event each year, it’s expanding to a full weekend taking place June 7 & 8.
