The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, the event where Vance & Hines first debuted its Show Truck back in 2005, continues to prove itself year after year to be the premier motorcycle rally for v-twin enthusiasts. And this year’s rally marked another first for Vance & Hines, having full-scale semi truck displays in both Rapid City and Sturgis.

Over the years the Sturgis Rally has grown to such enormous proportions that it stretches across most of the Black Hills region of South Dakota. And while Main Street Sturgis is still the epicenter for carousing and biker culture, the Black Hills offer some of the most scenic roads leading to great destinations like the old mining towns of Keystone and Deadwood, as well as Custer State Park and the Mount Rushmore Memorial.

So taking into account the broad expanse of the rally’s real estate, Vance & Hines expanded its presence to make sure that riders looking to enhance the performance and style of their bikes could get the information and support they need. With Vance & Hines Show Trucks at both Black Hills Harley-Davidson in Rapid City and J&P Cycles in Sturgis, customers were able to see and hear Vance & Hines product in person, to make the best choice for their own bikes.

In addition, to stocking all the best selling product for the event, both Black Hills Harley-Davidson and J&P Cycles also setup installation centers on their lots so customers could get the instant gratification of figuring out the exhaust system they wanted at the Vance & Hines Show Truck and then simply walking next door to purchase and have it installed by the dealer.

Sturgis is the type of rally that draws the serious long distance rider, who typically chooses one of Harley-Davidson’s Touring models as his motorcycle of choice. And new for this year, Vance & Hines has introduced the ultimate exhaust muffler for the cross-country tourer, called Monster Ovals. Although the rally season has hit its peak, there are still several great biker events in store for the remainder of the year. The Vance & Hines Show Truck will make its next stop at Las Vegas Harley-Davidson for Las Vegas BikeFest, October 2nd through 4th.
