VANCE & HINES AT DAYTONA BIKEWEEK
03/13/2007 SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA - If you’re a motorcycle enthusiast, then you know that one of the surest signs that spring has arrived is Daytona Bike Week. Marking its 66th year of drawing riders on everything from big twin cruisers to high performance sportbikes, not only from around the country but from across the ocean as well, it is the event that most comprehensively covers the world of motorcycling.
And if you’ve been to Bike Week in the last two years, you’ll know that the landscape has evolved. Where traditionally the center of activity for vendors has revolved between the track and Beach street in Daytona, another location is fast becoming the new hub for bikers to hang out and check out new product. Daytona Harley-Davidson in Ormond Beach, or better known as Destination Daytona, is the place to be for v-twin enthusiasts and it’s where the Vance & Hines Show Truck setup to display its latest offerings in performance exhaust systems.
With lots of big changes in the 2007 lineup for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, including the addition of closed loop fuel injection using oxygen sensors plugged directly into the exhaust system, Vance & Hines has been hard at work adapting its most popular exhaust systems to work with the new oxygen sensor equipped models. And customers were able to get their hands on these new ’07 exhausts right in Daytona through fine retailers like Daytona Harley-Davidson, Miller’s Custom Parts and J&P Cycles.
But it doesn’t stop there, Vance & Hines is also introducing a host of brand new exhaust designs this year that are going to knock the socks off the industry. Making its public debut at Bike Week, Vance & Hines introduced Big Radius 2-into-1, giving the public its first glimpse and listen to the what’s sure to redefine 2-into-1 exhaust systems. Applying the famous sweep of the Big Radius to a 2-into-1 system will give Softails and Dynas the look of a custom with performance like a dragbike.
With only some light rain at the start of the ten day event, Daytona Beach bathed bikers with sunny skies and cool breezes for the remainder of Bike Week, leaving no one to wonder why this is the one of the most popular rallies on the calendar.
The Vance & Hines Show Truck will be making stops at major rallies across the country throughout the year. Check out vanceandhines.com for the 2007 schedule. Next stop for the truck will be in Phoenix at Firebird International Raceway for Arizona Bike Week, March 30th through April 1st.
