VANCE & HINES AT THE LAUGHLIN RIVER RUN

04/28/08 SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA – The Vance & Hines Show Truck rolled out to the mighty Colorado River again this year for the 26th annual Laughlin River Run. The event on the river is one the biggest gatherings of motorcycle enthusiasts on the West Coast. Located in the hot and dry Mojave Desert where California, Arizona and Nevada meet, it’s an ideal spot for both the new and long time motorcyclist alike to get out and have a great time riding in some great weather.

Many riders make the trip even more memorable by taking the scenic route along the historic Route 66. Besides the various Poker Runs that take place throughout the week, the River Run is staged throughout the lots of the glitzy casinos lining the river. Under the glow of Laughlin neon, the Vance & Hines Show Truck once again parked at the Riverside Casino, owned by the founder of town’s namesake, Don Laughlin.

Visitors were able to get an up close look at some of the hottest new products in the Vance & Hines line. The biggest hit was the recently released Monster Oval Slip-Ons. Throughout the week, folks jumped at the opportunity to be the first to hear the new mufflers in person. Featuring full coverage heat shields and precision-machined billet end caps, Monster Ovals produce the richest sound to have ever resonated from a Vance & Hines exhaust. What’s more, these stereo friendly mufflers yield the greatest gain in low-to-mid range power of any Vance & Hines slip-on ever produced.

In addition, every big twin under the Vance & Hines tent was equipped with the new Vance & Hines VO2 Air Intake Kit. VO2 is a complete aftermarket performance air kit that includes a high-flow washable filter element and billet venturi to improve airflow. Finished off with the signature Drak chrome cover, VO2 promises to set a new standard, and marks the expansion of the Vance & Hines brand to offer the complete package for performance with exhausts, fuel management and now intakes.

With the completion of another successful River Run, the Vance & Hines Show Truck will head due east for Myrtle Beach Bike Week in South Carolina. Vance & Hines will be setup at Broadway at the Beach for the 68th running of the event from Tuesday, May 14 through Saturday, May 17. And like last year, the local Drag Specialties dealer will be setup right next-door, stocked and ready to sell and install a full line of Vance & Hines product including exhausts, Fuelpak and VO2.
