NHRA PRO STOCK COMPETITOR, JOEY GLADSTONE, SOARED TO A COMMANDING VICTORY ON SUNDAY AT THE PEP BOYS NHRA NATIONAL AT MAPLE GROVE RACEWAY IN READING, PA.!!

This was Gladstone’s third win of the season running the Vance & Hines Suzuki four-valve Pro Stock motor, enabling him to retake the points lead in the championship as the season heads into the home stretch.

Having qualified in the middle of the field, Gladstone put together an impressive string of fast and consistent runs on Sunday to progress through Eliminations all the way to the winner’s circle. With his three wins coming in the last four events, Gladstone has the momentum to make a strong run for the championship going into the final four events.

The Vance & Hines Mission Foods Suzuki Factory Pro Stock team made a strong showing in qualifying on Saturday with both Angelle Sampey and Eddie Krawiec posting ETs in the 6.70s. Angelle was also strong on the far end of the track recording three passes in qualifying over 200 mph.

Sunday brought mixed fortunes as both riders advanced successfully through the first round, but were eliminated in the quarterfinals.

The team regroups now to get ready for the NHRA Midwest Nationals coming up September 30th through October 2nd in St. Louis, MO.
