The Top Fuel Harley series rolls into Topeka, Kan. June 7-9 for the Menards NHRA Heartland Nationals at Heartland Motorsports Park and promises to deliver all the intense racing action that fans in the region have come to expect. In 2019, not only will fans have the opportunity to meet their favorite NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series drivers, but they may also get to see a few former Kansas City Chiefs players who will be on hand to promote Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Sprawling multipurpose Heartland Motorsports Park has been a Midwest favorite since it opened in 1989, but its dragstrip has gained the majority of headlines. The event, originally in the fall, featured numerous record performances, including the shattering of the quarter-mile four-second and 300-mph barriers in Funny Car in 1993 and record runs in Funny Car in 2017.
